THIS VINTAGE LORALIE ORIGINAL SWEETHEART BLACK & PINK ROSES & LACE FESTOONS TAFFETA EVENING GOWN IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL EVENING GOWN THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN & I HAVE SEEN A LOT – I LOVE THE COLOR COMBINATION OF BLACK & PINK & IT IS OUTSTANDING IN THIS VINTAGE EVENING GOWN
THE SWEETHEART BODICE IS COMPOSED OF TAFFETA WITH A WIDE BLACK LACE RUFFLE – THIS IS A HEAVY DRESS AS THERE IS A LOT OF FABRIC IN IT – THERE ARE NUMEROUS DRAPED FESTOONS FRONT & BACK ON THE DRESS IN PANELS OF BLACK TAFFETA AS WELL AS PINK & GREEN ROSES ON BLACK TAFFETA FOR A BEAUTIFUL LOOK – THERE IS 3-3/4” WIDE LACE DRIPPING OFF ALL OF THE FESTOONS – ONE SIDE OF THE DRESS IS RAISED HIGHER THAN THE OTHER SIDE SO IN THAT ONE SECTION, A PRETTY LEG WILL BE VISIBLE
UNDERNEATH THE DRAPED FESTOON LAYER IS ANOTHER VOLUMINOUS LAYER OF DRAPED 12” LACE RUFFLES WITH A HEAVY BLACK COTTON LINING UNDER THEM WHICH ADDS TO THE WEIGHT & VOLUME OF THE EVENING GOWN – ON THE HEM OF THE LINING, THERE IS MORE LACE FOR A VERY FEMININE LOOK- THE GOWN WAS PHOTOGRAPHED WITH A HOOP CRINOLINE BUT ALSO LOOKS BEAUTIFUL WITH OUT IT
THESE GOWNS WERE VERY EXPENSIVE EVEN WHEN THEY WERE NEW & COST ABOUT $500 - $700 THEN - THERE IS A LONG ZIPPER IN BACK WITH HOOKS & EYES TO SECURE IT – JUST AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS VINTAGE SWEETHEART EVENING GOWN ADORNED WITH FABULOUS FESTOONS & LACE BY LORALIE ORIGINAL

Condition: Very good – about 18” of the lace on the LINING’S hem needs to be attached as it has come undone – easy fix for you or the cleaners – small amount of separation on one of the lace flounces which could be either tacked up or just snip it off – easy fix

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I DEFINITELY would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
