THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NIGHTGOWN THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN - A RARE VINTAGE GOWN WITH A RUFFLEY SEASHELL BODICE IN 2-TONE SHADES CALLED ROSE DEW & MAUVE BY VANITY FAIR - WHEN I WAS GROWING UP IN THE ‘50s / early ‘60s, VANITY FAIR MADE THE MOST GORGEOUS NIGHTGOWNS & PEIGNOIRS THAT YOU HAVE EVER SEEN - YEARS AGO, I HAD THIS SAME NIGHTGOWN IN A HOT PINK & PURPLE COMBINATION & IT WAS JUST AS GORGEOUS AS THIS ONE
I LOOK AT THE NEIMAN MARCUS & BERGDORF GOODMAN SITES OFTEN & THERE ARE CONTEMPORARY CAFTANS BY NATORI SELLING FOR $1700 & $1900 THAT REALLY ARE NOT THAT PRETTY - THIS IS A ONE-OF-A-KIND NIGHTGOWN THAT YOU WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN THAT NO ONE ELSE WILL HAVE FOR A LOT LESS THAN THOSE & MUCH, MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL
UNDERNEATH THE VOLUMINOUS CASCADING RUFFLES ON THE SEASHELL BODICE, THERE ARE VERY TINY PLEATS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE 3 ROWS OF RUFFLES - THE COLORS ARE A MAUVY PINK WITH A DEEP ROSE DEW SHADE FOR A BEAUTIFUL COMBINATION - DOUBLE LOOPED SPAGHETTI STRAPS - A LOVELY DOUBLE SIDED SATIN RIBBON UNDER THE BUSTLINE WHICH THREADS THROUGH THE LOOPS ON THE SIDES & TIES IN THE BACK - WHEN I BOUGHT THE GOWN, THE ORIGINAL SATIN RIBBON WAS VERY OLD LOOKING & FRAYED SO I REPLACED IT WITH THE SAME COLOR OF PINK EXCEPT IN DOUBLE FACED SATIN RIBBON WHICH MADE IT MUCH PRETTIER
THE TOP LAYER OF THE FULL SKIRT OF THE NIGHTGOWN IS OUT OF A SHEER NYLON IN 2-TONE MAUVE & A ROSE DEW SHADE WITH AN OPAQUE LINING IN MAUVE - THE BACK OF THE GOWN IS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL AS THE RUFFLES CONTINUE AROUND TO THE BACK ALONG WITH THE SATIN RIBBONS WHICH FORMS A BOW WITH VERY LONG STREAMERS - JUST A GORGEOUS ONE-OF-A-KIND VINTAGE NIGHT WITH A FABULOUS SEASHELL RUFFLEY BODICE IN ROSE DEW & MAUVE BY VANITY FAIR

I may miss a small imperfection but we always list the obvious ones to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing/using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.
Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I DEFINITELY would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
