Tice is well known for his loungewear designs and is credited for originating such at-home fashions as closely pleated caftans, jersey floats, and the quilted gypsy look.

He received a Coty Award for lingerie in 1974

A FABULOUS VINTAGE HALTER GODDESS NIGHTGOWN BY BILL TICE, AN AMERICAN COTY WINNER, IN FROZEN PLUM

I FOUND THIS GORGEOUS GOWN ON MY LAST SHOPPING TRIP TO SAN DIEGO IN A VINTAGE STORE & WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I FOUND IT AS IT IS JUST STUNNING & A WONDERFUL PIECE OF FASHION HISTORY BY AN AMERICAN COTY WINNER

THE COLOR IS BEAUTIFUL IN A DARK PLUM SHADE TRIMMED WITH METALLIC GOLD SWIRLS ON THE QUILTED WAIST - THE FABRIC IS A HEAVY JERSEY & HANGS BEAUTIFULLY BECAUSE OF THAT - IT IS NOT A THIN FLIMSY FABRIC BUT VERY LUXURIOUS AS ONE WOULD EXPECT FROM BILL TICE - HIS GOWNS & LOUNGEWEAR WHERE SOLD AT THE FINEST UPSCALE STORES IN THE '70s

HE ALSO MADE A LOT OF HIS ITEMS TO SERVE DUAL PURPOSES SUCH AS A NIGHTGOWN OR EVENING GOWN - THIS BEAUTIFUL GOWN COULD BE WORN AS AN EVENING GOWN - THIS VINTAGE ITEM WAS SOLD AT A SHOP CALLED "TRIANGLES" IN BERMUDA

THE GOWN IS A FABULOUS HALTER STYLE WHICH IS ALWAYS SO SEXY LOOKING ? THERE IS A LOT OF FABRIC IN THE BODICE FOR A VERY LUXURIANT LOOK - THE SET-IN WAIST IS A METALLIC GOLD TRAPUNTO QUILTED SWIRL DESIGN ON THICKLY PADDED FABRIC WITH PLUM PIPING - THE FULL SKIRT IS VERY FULL WITH A CURVED UP FRONT FOR A GLIMPSE OF LEGS - THE HALTER TIE IS LONG WITH BIG CURVED ROUNDED END FOR A GREAT LOOK - AT THE WAIST THERE ARE 2 COVERED BUTTONS FOR CLOSURE

JUST A GORGEOUS VINTAGE NIGHTGOWN / HOSTESS AT HOME GOWN BY THE FABULOUS BILL TICE

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be NEW, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use/wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing/using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I DEFINITELY would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
