I WAS TOLD BY THE PERSON THAT I BOUGHT THIS ROBE FROM THAT THIS ELEGANT ROBE CAME FROM A “ZILLION DOLLAR ESTATE IN DALLAS, TEXAS” FROM A WOMAN WHO REALLY KNEW & LOVED FINE EXPENSIVE CLOTHES & THIS IS ONE OF THE ITEMS FROM HER COLLECTION – I HAVE ANOTHER DRESSING GOWN THAT WAS ALSO FROM HER ESTATE IN NAVY VELVET BY "NEIMAN MARCUS NAVY FLOUNCE RAYON & SILK VELVET DRESSING GOWN / ROBE WITH BEAUTIFUL BELL TIERED SLEEVES" WHICH IS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL.
YOU KNOW IF THE ROBE CAME FROM SAKS FIFTH AVENUE & GEORGETTE TRABOLSI THAT IT WAS EXPENSIVE & IT CERTAINLY LOOKS IT – I HAVE NEVER SEEN A ROBE SO EXQUISITE WITH SO MUCH DETAIL – THE WHITE SATIN SCALLOPED COLLAR & CUFFS ARE ENCRUSTED WITH AN INTRICATE TWISTED SATIN BRAID WHICH JUST MAKES THE ROBE – THE SCARLET VELVET IS SOFT & LUSH – THERE ARE SHOULDER PADS WHICH COULD BE REMOVED BUT ARE NICE FOR SHAPING - LOOPS WITH A MATCHING BELT – INSIDE TIES – JUST AN EXQUISITE VERY HIGH-QUALITY SCARLET VELVET ROBE BY GEORGETTE TRABOLSI FROM SAKS FIFTH AVENUE – PERFECT FOR VALENTINE’S DAY & THE HOLIDAYS AS WELL AS ALL YEAR ROUND WHEN YOU WANT TO LOOK ELEGANT & GORGEOUS

Size: No tag so go by the measurements – I wear a size 10 & although I got it on, it was a bit tight in the bicep area as velvet does not “give” or stretch as other fabrics do so it would probably fit a size 4, 6 or 8 better
Bust: All the way around 38 & will accommodate a bit more depending on how tight the tie is tied at the waist & how much you overlap the front

Fabric: No tag but a velvet fabric – maybe rayon velvet
Care: Dry clean
Condition: Very good – a couple of tiny spots of crushed velvet but nothing to detract from the beauty of this item

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I DEFINITELY would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
