VINTAGE ANDREE GAYE BLACK & WHITE DOT BLOUSE WITH A HUGE ORGANZA COLLAR
A BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE BLOUSE IN BLACK & WHITE DOTS WITH A HUGE ORGANZA COLLAR - THESE VINTAGE BLOUSES WITH THESE HUGE COLLARS ARE VERY HARD TO FIND & THEY JUST DON’T MAKE THESE ANYMORE - THERE ARE BUTTONS DOWN THE FRONT OF THE BLOUSE UNTIL ABOUT A FEW INCHES FROM THE BOTTOM WHERE THERE IS A BAND AROUND THE BOTTOM WITH ELASTIC IN THE BACK - THIS PART COMES BELOW THE WAISTLINE MORE TO THE HIP AREA LIKE A BLOUSON STYLE - I TUCKED THE BLOUSE INSIDE WITH THE SKIRT OVER IT & I LIKE THAT LOOK BEST - THE BLOUSE IS LINED EXCEPT FOR THE SHEER SLEEVES WHICH END IN A DOUBLE ORGANZA CUFF - THE COLLAR IS ALSO DOUBLE ORGANZA WITH A FLOUNCE ON THE END WHICH MAKES FOR A BEAUTIFUL RUFFLE - I AM SHOWING IT WITH A LONG EVENING SKIRT WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION BUT WOULD LOOK JUST AS BEAUTIFUL WITH A SHORT BLACK SKIRT OR PANTS
By: Andree Gaye for The Shirt Off My Back Size: No tag but I wear a size 8 - 10 & closer to the size 10 & it fit me perfectly but it might not fit anyone with real big arms because of the organza cuffs although they could be split open & turned under if you needed them larger Measurements:
Bust: 42 Waist: 43 Band around the bottom: 40-1/2 Length: 26-1/2
Fabric: No tag but the collar & cuffs are organza & the black fabric feels like organza or something very similar Condition: Very good - the elastic “band“ in back is not as springy as it once was & somewhat stretched but chances are, you will want to wear the blouse tucked in so no one will see it anyhow - a cleaning would probably freshen & white the organza collar which you would want to do anyhow before wearing the blouse Care: No tag
We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be NEW, please don't expect it to be perfect. Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use/wear. We always list the obvious staining/spotting/discoloration and damage/defects to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing/using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning. I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I DEFINITELY would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing.
