AN EXQUISITE BLACK & GOLD METALLIC BROCADE VINTAGE EVENING COAT ADORNED WITH LARGE GOLD & SILVER METALLIC ROSES& LEAVES FROM I. MAGNIN - I REMEMBER THE OLD I. MAGNIN STORE ON WILSHIRE BLVD IN L.A. MANY YEARS AGO & LOVED GOING IN THERE & LOOKING AT THEIR BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES - THEY WERE EXQUISITE & ALWAYS EXPENSIVE AS THIS COAT WAS
THE COAT IS LINED WITH A HEAVY BLACK SATIN FABRIC & LOOKS AS GOOD INSIDE AS IT DOES OUTSIDE - AT FIRST, I THOUGHT IT WAS REVERSIBLE AS IT LOOKED SO GOOD & THE ONLY THING TO KEEP IT FROM BEING REVERSED IS THE I. MAGNIN LABEL AT THE TOP & A BIT OF THE GOLD FABRIC SHOWING ON THE HEMLINE, OTHERWISE, IT COULD BE TURNED INSIDE OUT & WORN AS A BLACK EVENING COAT AS WELL - TAKE THE LABEL OFF & NO ONE WOULD EVER KNOW SO YOU WOULD HAVE 2 COATS IN ONE
THERE ARE LARGE SPARKLING GOLD & SILVER METALLIC ROSES, LEAVES & SWIRLS AS THE DESIGN ON THE COAT - I LOVE THE ROUNDED TOP OF THE NECKLINE & THERE ARE GATHERS ABOVE THE BUST AREA WHICH I HAVE POINTED OUT WITH A PEN AS IT IS HARD TO SEE THEM ON BLACK BUT IT GIVES FULLNESS TO THE BUSTLINE - THERE IS A BIG YOLK IN BACK ON THE COAT FOR INTEREST - A SLIGHT A-LINE TO THE COAT - SHORTER SLEEVES TO BE WORN WITH LONG EVENING GLOVES - I. MAGNIN LABEL INSIDE THE COAT
YOU WILL LOOK FABULOUS IN THIS ELEGANT VINTAGE EVENING COAT AT YOUR FORMAL EVENTS TO WEAR WITH YOUR VINTAGE COCKTAIL DRESSES OR EVENING WEAR

Bust: 40 - 43 with coat lying flat & since there are no buttons, maybe a bit more

Fabric: No tag but a metallic brocade on the outside & satin on the inside - very lovely & I am sure very expensive

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.
Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I DEFINITELY would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
