* VINTAGE WILLIAM PEARSON PEACH ORGANZA BLOUSE AND PLAID SKIRT ENSEMBLE - PERFECT FOR SPRING AND SUMMER EVENTS

$ 349.99 $ 749.99

What a gorgeous summer and spring vintage sheer organza blouse and plaid long skirt ensemble by William Pearson who made some of the most gorgeous outfits in his time.

The beautiful colors in this set were very hard to photograph as when the blouse was the correct color the skirt was too dark. The blouse is a lovely medium peach shade that matches the skirt beautifully. The yellow in the plaid skirt stood out a lot in the photos but it is actually more subdued than shown and blended in discreetly.

The sheer peach organza blouse has two layers of sheer organza and a lining under that. The sleeves are magnificent with not only a double flounce ruffle around the neckline area but the sleeves as well which make for 4 flounces at the sleeve area. The blouse can also be worn slightly off the shoulders as well. There are 4 pearlized buttons in front along with a hook and eye for closure. The blouse is trimmed with two rows of deep mint green grosgrain ribbon on the flounces on the blouse as well as on the ruffles on the sleeves.

There are luscious summer colors in the skirt of medium peach, mint green, lavender and subdued yellow. The long skirt is a lightweight fabric since it is a spring and summer outfit. There is no fabric tags but has a feel like a light smooth linen or something similar to that. Two pockets in the side seams. There is a sheer nylon or organza slip-like fabric under the skirt for a lining. Vintage pinked seams. Zipper in the back with a slide hook. Large 3-1/4" hem.

A gorgeous vintage fancy blouse and skirt ensemble perfect for a spring or summer event such as a cruise, a garden party, pool party, summer dance, mother of the bride or groom or a social affair.

Size: 6 and it fit my Size 6 mannequin almost perfectly.
Approximate Measurements – This means the measurements of the item listed – not of your own figure. You must be a few inches smaller than the measurements shown.
Measurements of my Size 6 mannequin: Bust 34.2 Waist: 25.2 Hips: 35.7
You should be smaller than the measurement of the mannequin about and leave room for movement.

Blouse
Bust: 34 - 35
Shoulder to shoulder: Cannot measure because of cut of the blouse
Length from shoulder in back to bottom: 21 - 22

Skirt
Waist: 25 - When the skirt was on my mannequin, I could not fasten the slide hook; however, the hook could be moved over a bit for a small bit of extra room or add some fabric for an extension.
Length: 37-5/8
Care: Dry clean
Fabric: No fabric tag but the blouse is double organza with a lining and the skirt feels like a lightweight linen or a similar fabric with a sheer lining of organza or nylon
Condition: Excellent - looks as though it has never been worn - minute pinhead in the blouse - could not find it when I looked for it again so it is negligible - label on the blouse needs a few stitches to secure.

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.

The items are sold as we find them. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival. Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements as there is no return on clothing or other items.
