* VINTAGE SOUTHERN BELLE LORALIE ORIGINAL SWEETHEART BLACK & PINK ROSES FESTOONS LACE TAFFETA EVENING GOWN - SIZE LARGE

This vintage Loralie Original sweetheart black & pink roses & lace festoons taffeta evening gown is the most beautiful evening gown that I have ever seen and I have seen a lot – I love the color combination of black and pink and it is outstanding in this vintage evening gown

The sweetheart bodice is composed of taffeta with a wide black lace ruffle – this is a heavy dress as there is a lot of fabric in it – there are numerous draped festoons front and back on the dress in panels of black taffeta as well as pink and green roses on black taffeta for a beautiful look – there is 3-3/4” wide lace dripping off all of the festoons – one side of the dress is raised higher than the other side so in that one section, a pretty leg will be visible. (see photo as well as "condition" - could be let down if one wishes)

Underneath the draped festoon overskirt layer is another voluminous layer of draped 12” lace ruffles with a heavy black cotton lining under them which adds to the weight and volume of the evening gown – on the hem of the lining, there is more lace for a very feminine look- the gown was photographed with a hoop crinoline but also looks beautiful without it.

These gowns were very expensive even when they were new and cost about $500 - $700 then - there is a long zipper in back with hooks & eyes to secure it – just an absolutely gorgeous vintage sweetheart evening gown adorned with fabulous festoons and lace by Loralie Original.

Condition: Very good – about 18” of the lace on the lining’s hem needs to be attached as it has come undone – easy fix for you or the cleaners – small amount of separation on one of the lace flounces which could be either tacked up or just snip it off – easy fix - the former owner pinned up one side of the lace on the skirt under the rose fabric over skirt. Could be let down if one wishes. (Photos show it pinned up and I left it as I found it.)

When buying vintage clothes on line, one must own a tape measure & measure a similar garment to see if the new garment falls within the measurements that are given in the description. You cannot look at the measurements & think that those are your own measurements & that it will fit. All garments need to be a few inches larger than one’s own body measurements for a good fit.

All items are pre-owned by someone unless otherwise stated as new old stock and may have some signs of wear which is understandable. I always note any major obvious imperfections although a small one may slip through without my noticing it and if I miss it, it must be very small.

All items are wrapped with acid-free tissue. No item will ever be sent wrinkled beyond belief in an old plastic grocery bag inside of an old reused marked up envelope as has happened to me by some sellers. I think too much of my customers & my products to do that to anyone.

 I do not accept cancellations, exchanges or returns so make your selection carefully.

All vintage items are just that vintage & not new straight from the mall– and may show some imperfections, wear and use because of the age. I try to list any imperfection but a small one could slip by unintentionally. All sales are final.

Items are shipped parcel post, priority or first class depending on the weight, destination & what the item is at seller’s discretion.  International orders cannot be returned or refunded to credit card or any other manner so chose your item carefully & check the measurements thoroughly.
